Vintage "Tan and Multi-color" Woven Wall Hanging Still on the Hand Loom
This is a vintage Hand Loom Wall Hanging from the 1970's. This woven item is still on the Hand Loom that it was made on. This is a piece of woven art that was actually purchased intentionally in an unfinished state right out of the artists hands. Primarily all these pieces were acquired on journeys from my father's home down in Ajijic and the regions south of Guadalajara.
This particular piece is primarily a tan background with green side bars and art striped in red, yellow, orange, and purple.
Approximately 18" wide x 37" high, measured by the overall width and height of the dowels.
-All the items that are currently being offered for sale on eBay are from a very old collection that my father acquired along his journeys. Mostly during the 1960's and 1970's based out of a home he had down in the tropics of Jalisco. Predominantly stemming out on journeys in all directions from his home in Ajijic including all points between the US border and down there via Guaymas, Hermosillo, Mazatlan, and Tepic, and
the areas of Chapala, Guadalajara, Tlaquepaque, Michoacán, Guatemala, Oaxaca, and
Mexico City. However there a few pieces from Africa, San Blas, and India.
CONDITION
-All items are great for home decor and wall hangings. Every items is vintage and at least 50 years old pretty much insuring you won't find anything like it anywhere else and truly old handmade originals in amazing condition.
-Please look at the photos the best you can, I took them from my cell phone so they are not the greatest of photos. Any imperfections that may appear are all from the original process of being handmade, hand carved, or part of the hand weaving process, and being very old as well.
