Vintage Erandi Pottery from Tonala Mexico.
Per the label on the bottom this piece is titled "Perro Puppy E-826"
The piece is hand painted with the details, texture and beauty that make Tonala pottery loved by collectors.
The piece is signed on the side and in excellent condition with no chips or cracks.
There is some wear to some of the glaze but because these pieces are fired at a lower temperature and no second glaze or coat is applied, this wear is to be expected.
Measures approx. 10" long x 7" tall x 6 1/2" deep.
Tonala is located within Jalisco, Mexico. This blue-gray pottery only comes from there. It has a soft & silky texture that is very unique. After firing the piece is burnished with a piece of leather to give it a shiny finish and bring out the details & colors.
