Sacred Heart Mexican Tin Milagros Cross Handmade Folk Art Wall Hanging Ornament
Handmade in the small colonial town of San Miguel de Allende, Mexico, this Mexican folk art tin Milagros green wooden cross is one of a kind.  Milagros, known in the Mexican culture, are miracles and ex-votos (offerings) to the saints for protection, luck or any number of reasons.
Made of hand carved wood, hand painted forest green color with a metallic gold ogee edge detail.
Using lapped joints, the artist carved two notched pieces of wood, glued them together and hand carved the shape of the cross.
The front is adorned with gorgeous gold washed tin Milagros.
The uniqueness is the brilliant metallic bronze color sacred heart with scroll details in the center.
The sides and back are painted green with a carved hole for wall hanging.
As with all of our Mexican folk art items, any slight imperfection adds to the beauty of each handmade piece.
