Handmade in Mexico, this Mexican folk art tin Milagros wood cross is one of a kind.
Made of hand carved wood.
The artist carved two pieces of wood with hand carved lapped joints in the center.
Painted black with clear color glaze.
11 hand nailed silver tin Milagros with pale gold wash antiquing.
In the center, a beautiful sacred heart with sword.
Other Milagros include:  A lock with embossed heart, a bird, a plane for safe travels, chili peppers for good health, a book for knowledge, a padlock for safety, a profile young girl in prayer, the protective eyes of St. Lucia, a faithful companion dog and a man kneeling in prayer.
Milagros are carried for good luck, left at saint's statues for prayers and hung in the home for blessings.

A hole is carved into the back for wall hanging.
