This catalogue was produced in conjunction with the 1982 exhibition of Mexican figural ceramic art, held at The Museum of Cultural History at UCLA. This publication has been signed, dated, and generically inscribed by the author on the title page. This is Number 16 of the Monograph Series at the Museum.
This study focuses on figural ceramics by five contemporary Mexican potters (1950-1981). Following an Introductory essay and an Overview of Mexican Village Ceramics, there are chapters, each devoted to one of the artists: Teodora Blanco, Candelario Medrano, Heron Martinez, Josefina Aguilar, and Rosendo Rodriguez. Concludes with a chapter on Production, Materials and Techniques; Marketing and Patronage; Self-Esteem and Appreciation. Includes Bibliography. Features 1 full-color plate, 35 black-and-white images, and 1 map.
Condition: Very good used condition

Binding tight, pages complete and intact (clean except for author's signature, date and inscription on the inside front cover/title page, page edges and text block have minor age toning), general light wear to covers (minor corner and edge wear, some fading at spine, general surface wear).
