    Description

    Stunning parade puppet figure representing a Mexican Soldado - the male fighter in the Mexican Revolution- done by Jose Juan Aguilar, youngest son of Josefina Aguilar of the famed Aguilar family from Ocotlan in Oaxaca state. Obtained directly from the artist at his home/workshop during a trip to Oaxaca, this male 11"-tall piece is truly exceptional as the photos show. The figure is well painted with the puppet portion of the figure having a purple hat, loose dangling arms and carrying a rifle slung across its back. The figure is signed on the bottom of the base.
