Beautiful 19th century Mexican Retablo on tin of the Santo Niño de Atocha in rich blue tones. Exhibits characteristics of the red bole group of anonymous retablo painters from 19th century Mexico. 7”x10” unframed. Paint loss is consistent with age and use. Likely from the Zacatecas state of central Mexico where the most famous shire is located.
